The Kitchen is famous for their incredibly tasty authentic Thai cuisine that doesn’t break the bank. Pailay Restaurant – Only a year old and already a pretty special addition to the Klong Dao area. Pailay restaurant is popular for its contemporary Thai food and western food. Pailay bakes in house fresh bread and pastries everyday as well as make their own hummus, chutneys, and falafel. Time For Lime – Time for Lime is owned by the same proprietor as the famous Lanta Animal Welfare Center. For many years Time for Lime funded the animal center and still plays a role in the center’s amazing work with animals not only on Lanta but surrounding areas. Time for Lime boasts the best cooking school on the island and has an incredible tapas menu and cocktail bar. Perfect spot for a sunset and a drink for a good cause!

May’s Kitchen – May’s is a staple, a must go to at least once! Not only do they offer great Thai and western food but they also have a BBQ nightly where you can choose from chicken, ribs, or whole fish grilled to order in front of the restaurant. Otto Bar – A long time gem of the Klong Nin area, Otto bar is located in the middle of Klong Nin right on the beach. Known for its decorative atmosphere and lovely wooden tables, Otto bar is a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the beach. Otto bar serves both Thai and western food, including being popular for their massive BBQ ribs. There are always a few colourful locals having some laughs and drinks. They also have a pool table and great cocktails to enjoy.

Coconut Grove – Located on the north end of Klong Nin, Coconut Grove restaurant and villas are tucked into the hillside with stunning panoramic sea views. The restaurant overlooks the sea with a private beach right below. Coconut Grove serves european food lovingly made by their Swedish head chef. Coconut Grove is a perfect place to dine while watching the sunset and is currently open from November to April.

Pure Koh Lanta – For the health conscious traveler or anyone wanting to be particularly healthy on holiday, Pure Koh Lanta is a must visit. Pure is lovely little shop on the way to Klong Nin beach that is known for its vegan and raw foods, superfoods, and amazing coffee and smoothies. They also have great vegan cakes and sweets they make in house as well as vegan and vegetarian dishes like falafel and veggie burgers. Pure is a great place to eat delicious foods guilt free!

Shanti Shanti – Shanti Shanti is a beautiful boutique restaurant overlooking the Andaman Sea in an area of the beach where it’s guests get to enjoy watching the longtail fishing boats bringing in the day’s catch. Shanti Shanti serves French cuisine as well as creative Thai and western dishes. They boast a lovely variety of great wines and cheeses to enjoy as well. This little restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner or relaxing breakfast with spectacular views.
